| Doing your master project at a German partner university
GUC master students / teaching assistants of all faculties have the opportunity to do their master projects at a German partner university. The master project lasts six months. Additionally a (lab) internship from one to two months can be conducted before writing the master thesis. The overall duration depends on the project and the qualification of the student. The available timeframe is each year from July till February. This program aims to establish research networks and cooperation with German partner universities in defined research fields.
Application procedure
At the beginning of each year master students have the chance to apply for master project topics offered by GUC German partner universities. Master students will be informed about the available topics and the required application documents via GUC intranet. Additionally, students can submit their independently arranged master project topics to GUC. After submission of all required documents (including a letter confirming the supervision by the German hosting institute), GUC will conduct an eligibility check on all applicants. This eligibility check will consider the study progress as well as the academic and teaching performance. At the same time the application procedure for DAAD scholarships will start. All eligible applicants will be invited to a personal interview conducted by GUC in cooperation with the DAAD branch office Cairo.
